RENEWport will host a second community dinner for families of Newport children in 3rd and 4th grades on Thursday, April 10. This event is organized in partnership with Newport Public Schools and a range of organizations, including the Newport Police Department.

On January 16, 250 Newport community members gathered in the cafeteria at Pell Elementary School for a community dinner for grades K-2 organized by RENEWport. The dinner is part of RENEWport’s efforts to build community and connect Pell students and families with all that Newport has to offer.

RENEWport’s initial project is to bring the city’s famous daffodil festival to the North End. In April, when the 1.5 million daffodils bloom throughout the city, the North End will have 38,000 flowers and will celebrate with an event at Miantonomi Memorial Park.
